01.AABC and WinWin Discuss Promotion of East African Investments

In a high-level meeting, Mr. John Bosco Kalisa, the CEO of the East African Business Council (EABC), met with Mr. Mohamed Osman, the Chairman of Arab African Business Club (AABC),and Shema Katende Managing Director at RDNews Limited in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, to discuss ways to enhance trade, investment cooperation and marketing in the East African region as a trade and investment destination.
The meeting emphasised on the need to promote East African investment opportunities to the Arab world and how to leverage on available resources to boost economic growth and sustainable development.
The CEO of the East African Business Council emphasized the importance of these partnerships in driving regional economic growth and strengthening trade relations between African and Arab countries.
For his part, the President of the Arab African Business Club noted that this cooperation represents a strategic step towards achieving shared goals in the fields of trade and investment.
Also present at the meeting was a team from Nile Investment Group who expressed their optimism about the promising future of these partnerships, affirming their commitment to supporting investment projects that contribute to sustainable development and create new job opportunities in the region.
Mr. Shema Katende, highlighted the importance of data and development journalism as a catalyst for investment promotion. He further showcased the available digital tools available on the RDArabic Platform designed to facilitate digital trade between the East African and Gulf regions.
